I recently completed my PhD in Southeast Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore and I am now getting back into freelance translation, editing and writing.
My PhD involved ethnographic research, conducted in Indonesian and Javanese, translation of interview transcripts from these languages into English and, of course, a lot of writing. I hope to use these skills in my career as a translator, writer and editor.
My clients for translating and interpreting have been fairly diverse, including, for example, the singer Susheela Raman and the Centre for International Forestry Research.
