Since I left Sweden in 1998, I have been speaking English and Spanish in my professional life. I learnt Spanish through my Master’s degree in Political Science (Umeå University, Sweden), and also when protecting witnesses and attending courtrooms in Guatemala in my role as Peace Observer. In 2003 I moved to Barcelona, Spain. Once in Spain the official language of different employments has always been English.

In my last employment before starting as a freelancer, I was a Quality Assurance Analyst in the Quality Department of Xerox. There, apart from the pure QA and training tasks, my job included translation work such as translating workflow charts, call scripts, training materials, data privacy, workplace ethics and transcripts of recorded calls.

When the office closed down in Barcelona in 2016, I took the opportunity to start up as a freelancer and focus on translations, including; technical, real estate, product descriptions and photography related material, as well as literary works.

Recently I am receiving more and more EU-projects and other projects related to Political Science, which makes me hope for more works like this in the future.
