I am a professional freelance translator/interpreter based in Cracow, Poland. My native language is Polish. I also worked as an EFL and PFL teacher.

I use a Windows PC, broadband Internet connection, scanner and printer. I work with the following CAT tools: SDL SUITE (TRADOS STUDIO 2011, 2007, PASSOLO, SDLX), WORDFAST PRO, IWS, XBENCH, WERECAT, MEMOQ.

When working on Polish>English projects, I cooperate with native speaker proofreaders. I also consult specialists in medicine, biology, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals to provide high quality specialist translations.

I graduated from English philology (MA), Polish studies (postgraduate) at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland and Audio-Visual Translation (postgraduate, WSE, Cracow). I majored in English literature and TEFL. I wrote my MA thesis about the poetry of nonsense and humour studies. I have attended a number of courses to develop my translation and interpretation skills, e.g. Translator's Workshop; Poetry in Translation (the Jagiellonian University); Financial Reports (Corporate Services, Cracow); CAT workshops (the Translation Studies Center, Sosnowiec); Sworn Translations (Katedra UNESCO, Cracow); Interpreting: consecutive, simultaneous, liaison, a'vista; and a course in legal-medical specialist translation and interpreting (the TSC).

I have been working for a number of Polish and international translation agencies as well as companies, institutions and individual clients, e.g. British Council Warsaw, COAPE Polska, CPSL Barcelona, Studio Gambit Gdańsk, Argos Translations Cracow, Vivalang Nowoczesne biuro tłumaczeń Cracow; Collegium Medicum UJ Cracow, Krakowska Szkoła Wyższa, Zakład Ergonomii i Fizjologii Wysiłku Fizycznego UJ Cracow, AGH University of Science and Technology Cracow, The Sendzimir Foundation, Transperfect Translations, PMR and others.

I am interested in: sustainable development, particularly animal rights, dog training, traditional photographic processing and illustration.
