Description:This presentation has been designed for existing users of SDL Trados 2007 or earlier.

The session will present the most efficient ways to upgrade existing SDL Trados translation assets (translation memories and termbases), as well as focusing on the benefit of new features such as adding context matches to 2009 translation memories, working with AutoSuggest dictionaries and translating legacy bilingual files.

This presentation is the first step in understanding how to leverage the full power of SDL Trados Studio 2009 to increase your productivity.

Speakers:Tracey Byrne
With a degree in Applied Computational Linguistics from Dublin City University, Tracey Byrne has been contributing significantly to the localization industry for the past 15 years. Initially working as a localization engineer in international organizations such as Berlitz and Corel, Tracey moved to TRADOS Ireland, where she worked in client-facing roles within Training, Support, and Sales Consultancy. In 2005, Tracey joined SDL International as Worldwide Training Manager of SDL TRADOS Technologies. She currently holds the position of Business Consultant, where she provides technical consultancy to our European sales and marketing teams. Throughout her career, Tracey has developed extensive knowledge of SDL Trados localization technologies, as well as other industry tools, and therefore is able to offer clients the benefit of her vast experience across the localization supply chain.
