Born in Bucharest, I started my... career as a translator and a journalist. A few years later I moved to France and studied English language and literature in Lyon. After obtaining a Bachelor degree, I left for London as a French language assistant. Back to France one year later, I registered with an experimental branch freshly created by ENSSIB (Library and Information Studies University) in collaboration with University Louis Lumière and obtained a Master degree in Library and Information Science. The curriculum of this section combined linguistics, parallel translation (my favourite), information science and library management with main specialty in database management and text analysis through computer programmes.
