Hello everybody. In the following texts, the words orthopedist and orthotists are put together. What is the difference? How can I translate both in Spanish? I thought both were "ortopedista", but there might be something I am unaware of.

Generalmente, ortopeda se refiere al médico (ortopedista) y ortesista al técnico especialista;

El manejo ortésico del pie y el tobillo exige una relación complementaria entre el médico ortopedista y el ortesista.

3 [ingl. orthotist] s.m., s.f. Técnico superior especialista en ortoprótesis y dispositivos de apoyo, dedicado específicamente a las ortesis. Obs.: Puede verse también "ortesista".

4 [ingl. orthotics] s.f. Disciplina científicotécnica que se ocupa de las ortesis y de las ayudas técnicas o productos de apoyo. Forma parte de la especialidad de medicina física y rehabilitación y está relacionada con otras especialidades médicas, quirúrgicas u odontológicas.
