Darek - podałeś kolejne źródło, które twierdzi, że to synonim, ale dla mojego klienta widać różnica jest (wiem, wiem - trzeba spytać klienta); Adam - semi-fabricated product daje 66 trafień... raczej tego nie kupię :( skąd ataka pewność?

Ale zaczyn/brzęczka są półproduktami (nie półfabrykatami) do produkcji wódki/piwa. Pierwsze IMO szersze znaczeniowo

Są to definicje PWN. Jak widać półfabyrkat i półprodukt traktowane są jako synonimy.

Intermediate goods or producer goods are goods used as inputs in the production of other goods, such as partly finished goods or raw materials. A firm may make then use intermediate goods, or make then sell, or buy then use them.
As such, they have a market value from accounting view-point.

Often this is not the case for half-manufactured goods, where their accounting value when in stock must be estimated.
