German term

Grunddurchgang & Zwischenrunde

German to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Ice Hockey
These are 'Austrian' terms from ice hockey - can anyone help. We're not too clear about what stages are meant in the championship and how to translate these two terms. Thanks for your help.
There's not much of a context:
"Preise Grunddurchgang & Zwischenrunde - Tageskarten" is the heading followed by a table with the prices for the different categories of seats.
Proposed translations (English)
3 Round robin/league matches and play-offs/qualifying round

Brainstorm (asker) Aug 29, 2007:
After David suggested "round robin" we atually found "Im Grunddurchgang wird eine Round Robin (jeder gegen jeden) gespielt " for darts and "Gespielt wird ein Grunddurchgang ( Round Robin) mit anschließendem Playoff" for hockey ( the latter at http://www.stpetererhaie.at/index.php?option=com_content&tas...

Round robin/league matches and play-offs/qualifying round

I imagine this is something like the American Football league here in Germany, where the (basic) league matches are followed by the "play-offs" or qualifying matches for the German Bowl. If that is the case, these descriptions might fit.
