Publishing blurb
Just wondering if there is a specific name for this when it's not a washing line for drying clothes:
SPAIN: "... la sala en la que los fotógrafos o los editores de revistas colocan las imágenes para su selección: grandes mesas llenas de imágenes y “tendederos” de los que cuelgan las fotografías más llamativas, las que sobresalen por su interés, en mayor formato."

line for hanging photos
tendedero, like you pointed out originally means a washing line for drying clothes, and I'm just guessing, but isn't this a line used for drying pictures (photographs) after you have developed them? Of course, it's not in the darkroom, but a line to hang best pictures.
Note from asker:
Thanks, it is indeed a line to hang best pictures, what I am asking is if there is a specific term for this in the industry. |

Comment: "I think I'll just call it "line" after all. Arregato !"

Drying the Print
Squeegee your prints to remove water from the surface. You can then hang them by clips or leave to dry on a drying rack. You can also use a print drier (make sure that it is safe for RC paper) or gently dry with a hair drier.

Note from asker:
It's for exhibiting purposes, not drying - thanks anyway :-) |

: But it seems like the passage is referring to an editing session, which would not take place in the darkroom. The prints would already be dry.

A drying rack is a tendedero - for photos or clothes. Thanks anyway.

clothesline or line
"Tendedero" can also refer to a clothesline, a line on which washed clothes are hung to dry. Photos are also hung on a line to dry in a darkroom after they are rinsed in the last part of the developing process.
However, this passage clearly refers to an editing session in which people are selecting the best photos from a larger group. The "line" (from "clothesline") is just a place where things are hung for display, in a quick and easy manner, perhaps with clips of some sort. Similar to tacking things up on a bulletin board.

Example sentence:
This one is great; let's hang it up on the line.
