I feel ashamed before the children I believe that it is better to use "before", now what I am thinking after Rachel's comment in the previous question (the same) is that "before" should be used instead "in front of", In front of - when one is standing physically in front of, but before means you feel ashamed in general, maybe children are not present there.
So, "после того, что я сделала" clarifies that the speaker feel ashamed before the children. In here, does not say about whom do those children belong. So, "the" would be more relevant than "my".
These are just my opinion. I understand it in that way. It might be wrong.
