Hospital discharge report
Hi all,
I came across the phrase in a hospital discharge report from the Canary Islands, Spain in the "Pruebas complementarias" section:
"TC cerebral: Examen compatible con infarto agudo cápsulo-lentículo-caudado derecho."
I'm not sure how to phrase it, and would be grateful for any suggestions!
Many thanks,

acute right-sided striatocapsular infarction
I actually gave the same answer as neilmac to a similar FR>EN KudoZ query in 2010, but recently found that the preferred terminology in English seems to be "striatal" rather than "lenticulo(-)caudate".
Anatomically speaking, the caudate nucleus and lenticular nucleus together form the striate nucleus (AKA Corpus striatum, Striatum), and the striate nucleus gets its 'stripes' from a nerve tract passing right through it: the internal capsule.
"Striatocapsular infarction has recently been described as a distinct stroke entity and forms an important subgroup of subcortical infarctions."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1998890
Functionally, the striatum coordinates multiple aspects of cognition, including both motor and action planning, decision-making, motivation, reinforcement, and reward perception. The striatum is made up of the caudate nucleus and the lentiform nucleus. The lentiform nucleus is made up of the larger putamen, and the smaller globus pallidus.

Acute right lenticulocapsulocaudate infarction
Lenticulocapsular, lenticulocaudate or capsulocaudate are common expressions in this context.
