You could also translate "agent" into "agen" which sounds more like a chemical. Be careful not to use "ejen" instead (which is also a translation to "agent") as this has a different meaning.

Thanks for your help. I got the answer already. I have to look through the chemical glossary since the words cannot be translated directly from dictionary. Buffering Agents mean "Reduction / neutralization of the pH-value" for any acids. For your own future reference, here is the link
