This system uses two high-pressure fittings to completely seal and contain the leaking thermocouple. The junction of the mineral insulated thermocouple cable and the thermocouple extension wire is called the thermocouple cold junction. This junction is protected by a stainless steel transition and hermetically sealed with high temperature epoxy. The YYYY ‘Safety’ transition utilizes a stainless steel high-pressure reducer fitting.
