The "root node” of a tree is the region which is in the highest layer. A "pre-order” tree traversing process is carried out in order to “visit” all the regions that exist in the layers. Because the voxels have a certain height, 3D prisms can be reconstructed for each of the 2D crown regions in the different crown heights.

Možda vam ovo može pomoći. Potražite "pre-order" u dokumentu. Ovde se radi o "digitalnom drveću" u programiranju. Tu se "pre-order" prevodi "sa vrha" zato što je kod algoritama drvo obrnuto (koren je na vrhu). Ne znam da li će vam ovo koristiti :)
