Similar to my question on Régie Foncière, I'm wondering if translators based in/familiar with Belgium can tell me the "official" or usual translation of this term (I have seen many, including Aldermen's House?).
Taken from an urban planning project in Charleroi:
A l’issue des débats de l’atelier, une information aux élus en charge des bâtiments et Régie Foncière (juin 2004) puis au collège échevinal (janvier 2005) a débouché sur une communication du bourgmestre annonçant un investissement pour la rénovation du site du palais des Expos.

My dictionary gives "burgomaster" as the standard translation of "échevin". When I tried this on Google I found several hits for this, including one from Unesco.
