Latin to English Art/Literary History
An estate sale for George Christian, former press secretary to President Lyndon Johnson, provided an aquaintance of mine a beautifully hand-calligraphied desk sign in Latin. Mr. Christian was also a writer, and it would be fun to know the meaning of a phrase that so inspired him.
