Spanish term

T-E (School Transcript)

Spanish to English Other Education / Pedagogy school transcript
I'm translating a School Transcript from Venezuela and the curriculum has "T-E" as a column title, with all of its values set to "F". I believe this "F" stands for "Final", as in "Final Results", since it's placed at the right of the final grades for each subject.

ex.:

Asignaturas - Calificación (en Nº / en letras) - T-E - Fecha
Inglés..... - 17 / DIECISIETE................. - F.. - 2000

What would "T-E" stand for? Something to do with "examen"?

Your kind help is highly appreciated!

Change log

May 10, 2005 20:44: Patricia Parten changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Ltemes, Oso (X), Patricia Parten

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Paulandrea Oct 1, 2009:
Regarding the same transcript what do Q and R stand for? Thanks
Ltemes May 10, 2005:
No problem. Enough people voted so the question now shows as PRO. As for the "F" that's another question. It could very well be "Final" as you suggest but I'd post another question and see what you get. Best of luck! Sorry I can't be of more help!
Non-ProZ.com May 10, 2005:
About the TE question: I thought about that, but the values for the TE column are all set to "F". What would "F" stand for then? I'm really confused...
Non-ProZ.com May 10, 2005:
About the PRO factor: I'm sorry for not putting it in PRO... the detail slipped my mind! Can I still do it or will it remain this way?

Method of Assessment (T-E)

agree Patricia Parten : say no more....there's my vote!! Ta-ta for now!
