Spanish term

AA

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Cardiology cardiac cath
What does the AA mean in "AA: Cat. Diagnóstico, cateterismo radial fracaso, coronarias sanas, sutura arterial con éxito." This is the "Procedimiento" section in a cardiac cath report from hospital in Barcelona.

The catheter would reach, ultimately, the "aorta ascendente (AA)," but I don't think that works. Maybe something to do with "antecedentes" (?) -- see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/316775

Thanks.

Discussion

Lesley Jackson (X) (asker) Jan 10, 2006:
Alicia, this is not a sentence from the source text Sorry for the confusion. This sentence is not part of my translation -- i.e., is not from the source text. I was just thinking that "AA" might stand for "aorta ascendente" because, during a catheterization, the catheter would ultimately pass through the ascending aorta. But this didn't seem to fit.
Alicia Casal Jan 10, 2006:
But it says: The catheter would reach, ultimately, the "aorta ascendente (AA)
Podras poner la frase en espaol?
