Source text - English -Tell me, do you have any boyfriend Suzie?
-Hmmm... Yes.
-Tell me about him.
-He lives up in Scotland, and I think he's thirteen...and,
I'm rather lonely up there because he uses to go to school,
but we usually play at about 6:30, when he comes home from school
then we go in and he goes home to do his homework.
-Have you got any boyfriend Suzie?
-What is your attitude towards marriage? For yourself.
-Well, I don't know. I haven't given a lot of thought to it
because I'm very cynical about it. But then you know, I got a certain
amount of faith still in it, But I mean, I got friends that their parents
are happily married and that puts faith back to me but me myself
I'm very cynical about it.
-We were friends for about two years.
-Rupert and Suzie were married 5 years ago.
-...and I think the nice thing is that we knew each other very well before,
we knew quite a lot of the faults of each other. Which I think is very important.
-I haven't sit down and analyze marriage. It's not something I had to...
come up and think about it, whether I was going to get married...
and I have no desire for it at the moment, I think twenty is far too young.
-I suppose 22 is considered quite young. I thought it was the right time.
I don't see what I'd have gained if I waited another three years.
-What gave you that feeling.
-I just felt I was doing the right thing, which is you said was extraordinary
when only 18 moths before I was very anti it.
-I just came to London, when I left school, and went to Paris.
And at the moment I could never live in the country, I'm happy down here.
The country is nice for 4 days, going for long healthy walks but
I could never live up there, now.
-They live in a small village near Bath, where Rupert is a partner in a firm of solicitors.
-I lived 7 years off in London I suppose. It was fantastic but I just had enough.
It's a much slower way of life down here, and I had enough with the robberies.
-When I get married I'd like to have two children.
-I'm not very children oriented at the moment. I don't know if I'll ever be.
-What do you think about them?
-I don't like babies.
-What was the biggest shock to you when you were suddenly confronted
with a small baby that you had to be responsible for?
-Panic set in I think, um that I wasn't going to be able to cope.
-Would you like to have a nanny to look after them, or would you like to look after them?
-No, I want a nanny to look after them.
-I felt that we've taken a decision to bring a child into the world and I feel
that I wanted to bring him up, not somebody else I feel it's my responsibility
to start him off. Whether that will...make any difference to how he turns out,
I don't know. I just felt I wanted to do it.
-Is it everyhting you wanted?
-For the moment yes. Well, I don't think I'll have any more for the reason that
I get pleasure out of these two but I can't see me getting on and on and on
with sort of five or four children.
-I think I feel I want to move on, and try and do something else.
-When I leave the school, I'm down for Heathfield and South of Amena
and then maybe, I may want to go to university, but I don't know which one yet.
-I like to do lessons on typing or something like that.
-I left school when I was 16 and went to Paris.
I went to a secretarial college and got a job.
-What made you decide to leave school and go to Paris?
-I just wasn't interested in schooland just wanted to get away.
-And why did you choose Paris?
-Um, I don't know, because of my parents, really.
-Now I got to the stage in my life where I got to make my own decisions.
You got to learn to findfor yourself one day.
Translation - Greek -Πές μου Σούζι, έχεις αγόρι;
-Μμμ... ναι.
-Μίλησε μου γι'αυτόν.
-Ζει στην Σκωτία, και νομίζω είναι δεκατριών,
και είμαι μόνη μου εδώ πέρα γιατί εκείνος πάει σχολείο,
αλλά συνήθως παίζουμε κατά τις 6:30, όταν επιστρέφει απο το σχολείο,
μετά πάμε μέσα και μετά πάει στο σπίτι του να κάνει τις εργασίες του.
-Έχεις αγόρι Σούζι;
-Ποιά είναι η στάση σου απέναντι στον γάμο. Όσον αφορά εσένα.
-Δέν ξέρω. Δεν το'χω σκεφτεί πάρα πολύ, επιδή τον βλέπω με κυνισμό.
Απ'την άλλη όμως, ως ένα βαθμό πιστεύω ακόμα στον γάμο,
δηλαδή, έχω φίλους που οι γονείς τους έχουν έναν ευτιχισμένο γάμο και αυτό μου δίνει πίστη,
αλλά προσωπικά είμαι πολύ κυνική απέναντι στον γάμο.
-Ήμασταν φίλοι για περίπου δύο χρόνια.
-Ο Ρούπερτ και η Σούζι παντρεύτηκαν πριν απο 5 χρόνια.
-...και νομίζω το καλό είναι ότι γνωριζόμασταν πολύ καλά απο πριν,
ξέραμε αρκετά καλάτις ατέλειες μας,Το οποίο πιστέυω είναι πολύ σημαντικό.
-Δεν έχω κάτσει να αναλύσω τον γάμο. Δεν χρειάστηκε να το κάνω...
να τον σκεφτώ, εαν θα παντρευτώ...
και δεν έχω καμμία επιθυμία για την ώρα, νομίζω... 20 χρονών παραείναι νωρίς.
-Υποθέτω ότι στα 22 θεωρείσαι μικρή. Σκέφτηκα ότι είναι η κατάλληλη στιγμή.
Δεν ξέρω αν θα κέρδιζα κάτι παραπάνω εάν περίμενα άλλα τρία χρόνια.
-Τί σε έκανε να το αισθανθείς;
-Απλά ένοιωσα ότι ήταν το σωστό, κάτι που όπως είπες είναι ασυνήθιστο...
όταν μόλις 18 μήνες πριν ήμουν εντελώς εναντίον.
-Ήρθα στο Λονδίνο αφού εγκατέλειψα το σχολείο και γύρισα απο το Παρίσι.
Και προς το παρόν, δεν θα μπορούσα να ζήσω στην επαρχία, είμαι ευτυχισμένη εδώ.
Η εξοχή είναι καλή για 4 μέρες, να κάνεις μεγάλους περιπάτους στη φύση,
αλλά πια δεν θα μπορούσα να ζήσω εκεί.
-Ζούν σε ένα μικρό χωριό κοντά στο Μπάθ,
όπου ο Ρούπερτ είναι συναίτερος σ'ενα δικηγορικό γραφείο.
-Έζησα περίπου 7 χρόνια στο Λονδίνο. Ήταν φανταστικά άλλα υπέραρκετό.
Ο ρυθμός της ζωής εδώ, είναι πολύ πιο αργός και κουράστηκα πια με τις ληστείες..
-Όταν παντρευτώ θα ήθελα να κάνω 2 παιδιά.
-Για την ώρα δεν το βλέπω να κάνω παιδιά.Δεν ξέρω αν θα το δώ ποτέ.
-Ποιά είναι η γνώμη σου για τα παιδιά;
-Δεν μ'αρέσουν τα μωρά.
-Ποιό ήταν για σένα το μεγαλύτερο σοκ όταν ξάφνου ήρθες αντιμέτωπη
με ένα μωράκι για το οποίο εσύ είχες την ευθύνη;
-Νόμιζω ότι πανικοβλήθηκα, ε...και νόμισα ότι δεν θα τα καταφέρω.
-Θα'θελες να χεις μια γκουβερνάντα να τα προσέχει, ή θα ήθελες να τα προσέχει εσύ;
-Όχι, θα'θελα να τα προσέχει η γκουβερνάντα.
ότι ήθελα εγώ να το μεγαλώσω, και όχι κάποιος άλλος.
Νοιώθω ότι είναι ευθύνη μου να του δώσω την αρχική ώθηση.
Άν αυτό θα κάνει τη διαφοράστην εξέλιξη του δεν ξέρω. Απλά αισθάνθηκα ότι αυτό ήθελα.
-Είναι αυτό που έψαχνες;
-Για την ώρα ναι. Αλλά, δεν νομίζω ότι θα κάνω κι άλλα επειδή,
παίρνω ικανοποίηση απο τα 2 αλλά δεν με φαντάζομαι να κάνω κι άλλο, κι άλλο...
και να έχω 4 ή 5 παιδιά.
-Νομίζω, αισθάνομαι ότι πρέπει να προχωρήσω, και να προσπαθήσω για κάτι άλλο.
-Όταν τελειώσω το σχολέιο θα πάω στο Χήθφιλντ.
και μετά μάλλον, μπορεί να θέλω να πάω στο πανεπιστήμιο, αλλά δεν ξέρω σε ποιό.
-Θέλω να μάθω δακτυλογράφηση ή κάτι τέτοιο.
-Εγκατέλειψα το σχολείο στα 16 και πήγα στο Παρίσι.
Πήγα σε μία σχολή γραμματέων και έπιασα δουλειά.
-Τι σε έπηρέασε για να αφήσεις το σχολείο και να πάς στο Παρίσι;
-Δεν με ενδιέφερε το σχολείο και απλά ήθελα να ξεφύγω.
-Και γιατι επέλεξες το Παρίσι;
-Ε, δεν ξέρω, λόγω των γονιών μου.
-Τώρα έφτασα στο στάδιο της ζωής μου που πρέπει να πέρνω μόνη μου τις αποφάσεις.
Πρέπει να μάθεις να ανακαλύπτεις μόνη σου τα πράγματα κάποτε.
