Source text - English 22 years old female patient. Diagnosed at age 14 to suffer from neurofibromatosis type 2. Normal breath, normal development, studied at regular school. At age 14 noticed bilateral hearing loss more pronounced on the right and a sol on the nasal bridge. The biopsy of the lesion revealed neurofibroma. The brain MRI showed bilateral vestibular shwanomma, bilateral cavernous sinus meningiomas, meningiomatosis. Follow up decided. At age 19 parents noticed unstable gait. The fundoscopy showed bilateral papilledema. The thoracic MRI showed T7-9 sol, underwent thoracotomy for resection which showed neurofibroma. In 2007 at Burdenko Institute underwent right craniotomy for resection of the right vestibular shwannoma. Since then the patient on clinical and image follow up. Since November 2010, the family noticed reduction on her vision acuity which decline drastically, on admission the patient has only light perception. No headaches, no vomiting. Follow up MRI shows hydrocephalus and enlargement of the left vestibular shwannoma. Admitted to our department for left transpetrosal craniotomy and VP shunt.

Пациентом является женщина 22-х лет. В 14 лет диагностирован нейрофиброматоз II типа. Дыхание и развитие нормальные, училась в обычной школе. В 14 лет обнаружена двусторонняя тугоухость, более выраженная в правом ухе, и объёмное новообразование в области переносицы. Биопсия поражённого участка выявила нейрофиброму. МРТ головного мозга показала двустороннюю вестибулярную невриному, менингиому пещеристой пазухи и менингиоматоз . Было назначено дальнейшее наблюдение. В 19 лет родители заметили неустойчивую походку. Офтальмоскопия показала двусторонний отёк диска зрительного нерва. МРТ грудной клетки выявила объёмное новообразование на уровне позвонков T7-9, перенесена торакотомия для его удаления, в ходе которой была обнаружена нейрофиброма. В 2007 году в институте Бурденко перенесена краниотомия для удаления правой вестибулярной невриномы. C того времени пациент находится на клиническом наблюдении. C ноября 2010 семья заметила снижение остроты зрения, которое ухудшилось очень резко, при госпитализации у пациента осталась лишь способность к восприятию света. Головных болей и рвоты нет. МРТ, проведённая при последующем наблюдении, выявила гидроцефалию и гипер-трофию левой вестибулярной невриномы. Госпитализирована в наше отделение для левосторонней транспирамидной краниотомии и вентрикулоперитонеального шунтирования.
