ISAAC NEWTON’S PET DOG
Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan

World renowned scientist Sir Isaac Newton had a pet dog. He had been tenderly caring for it since a long time. One day it entered into Newton’s study room and knocked down a lighted candle. The flame spread to the papers and they were all burnt in a few moments….

All the research results that he had gathered through regular hard work during eight years were thus reduced to ashes. Newton was heart-broken as all his efforts were dashed to smithereens. But he did not feel anger or animosity towards his pet dog. He knew that it was futile to be angry with that poor creature or to punish it. From that day onward Newton became engaged with recreating his lost notes.

Frederick Faber, a theologian, says: “We must wait for God, long, meekly, in the wind and wet, in the thunder and lightning, in the cold and the dark. Wait, and He will come. He never comes to those who do not wait.”

The life of the great Chinese philosopher Confucius was a shining example of patience. He said: “One moment of patience may ward off a great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.”

Irascible persons lack the ability to control their mind or to wait patiently. Have you ever considered this? - If only we had waited patiently for one more moment, how many untoward occurrences or dangers would have gone away from us! Impatience propels us towards disasters. We must cultivate the habit of patience and forbearance by eschewing anger and irascibility.

If irascible persons do not control their anger and impatience, they will have to suffer irreparable damages. On the other hand, one can achieve even impossible things through endurance.

We ought to gain the strength of mind to face any adversity with endurance. Although it is natural that we are disappointed with unexpected happenings, it is our attitude towards them that spell victory.

Endurance is the act of waiting by a mature mind. It’s a wait that can turn losses into gains.

1. In the 16th week, if there is still no improvement in the symptoms of your Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and you have been on placebo or taking 2mg Baricitinib, then begin to take 4mg Baricitinib.
In the 20th week, if there is no improvement in your symptoms, and if your study has not been converted to medicinal dose and you have been on placebo or taking 2mg Baricitinib, then begin to take 4mg Baricitinib.
2. In complete studies of RA patients, the general side effects found in Baricitinib treatment include the following: reduced number of red blood corpuscles (corpuscles that carry Oxygen), due to which one feels tired or less energetic; reduced number of white blood corpuscles (blood corpuscles that fight infection), which can increase the risk of infection; small changes in blood test that indicate how one’s kidney and liver are functioning; high amounts of cholesterol and fat in the blood that can increase the risk of a stroke or heart disease; and a high number of blood platelets (constituents of blood that help in clotting). An abnormally high number of platelets increases the danger of a stroke or heart attack. In the course of your participation in studies, your doctor will often check your general health condition in addition to red blood corpuscles count, white blood corpuscles count, platelets count, kidney functions, liver functions, and cholesterol and fat (lipid) levels in your blood. Patients treated with Baricitinib also had certain other general side effects (along with cold and sinus infection) such as infection, itch, headache, pain in joints, abdomenal disorders, diarrhea, and cough.
