In pratica dovevamo evocare il viaggio di un'anima come una sorta di passaggio fluviale. L'ambizione era proprio quella di rendere il fiume come uno spirito vivente. Così mi è ritornata alla mente questa sequenza magica dell'incontro notturno acquatico ne "I racconti della luna pallida d'agosto" di Mizoguchi. In quella scena sembra davvero che l'acqua abbia un suo fiato, possieda un suo respiro. Così abbiamo provato anche noi a costruire artificialmente una brina superficiale che poi la maestria di
Giancarlo Migliore ha reso trama pittorica."
