BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY
You are being invited to participate in a research study aimed at evaluating two strategies for the long-term treatment of HIV infection. The current standards for HIV treatment consist of using anti-HIV drugs to minimise the quantity of virus present in the blood (viral load) by the daily administration of drugs. This form of treatment is considered highly effective in keeping patients presenting a low count of CD4 cells (fewer than 200-250 CD4 cells) in good health. However, some information obtained appears to indicate that patients might wait to commence their treatment with anti-HIV drugs until their risk of falling ill is greatest, i.e. until their CD4 cell count is less than 250, thereby avoiding taking such drugs for as long as their CD4 cell count is higher than this. The purpose of the study is to compare two different methods of applying an anti-HIV drug treatment: continuous treatment throughout the HIV infection, or intermittent treatment, limited to periods in which there is a reduction in CD4 cell count.

Καλείσθε να συμμετάσχετε σε μια ερευνητική μελέτη η οποία αποσκοπεί στην αξιολόγηση δύο στρατηγικών σχετικά με την μακροπρόθεσμη θεραπεία της λοίμωξης από τον ιό HIV. Τα τωρινά δεδομένα σχετικά με την αντιμετώπιση του ιού HIV βασίζονται στη χρήση φαμάκων αντί-HIV προκειμένου να μειώσουν την ποσότητα του ιού που βρίσκεται στο αίμα (ιικό φορτίο) μέσω της καθημερινής χορήγησης φαρμάκων. Αυτή η μορφή θεραπείας θεωρείται άκρως αποτελεσματική συντελώντας στο να παρουσιάζουν οι ασθενείς ένα χαμηλό αριθμό κυττάρων CD4 (λιγότερα από 200-250 κύτταρα CD4 ) σε υγιή κατάσταση. Εντούτοις, κάποιες πληροφορίες που προέκυψαν φαίνεται να δείχνουν ότι οι ασθενείς ίσως περιμένουν για να ξεκινήσουν τη θεραπεία τους με φάρμακα αντί-HIV μέχρι ν’αυξηθεί ο κίνδυνος να νοσήσουν δηλαδή, εώς ότου ο αριθμός των κυττάρων CD4 είναι λιγότερος από 250, αποφεύγοντας μ’αυτόν τον τρόπο τη χορήγηση τέτοιων φαρμάκων για όσο διάστημα ο αριθμός των κυττάρων CD4 είναι υψηλότερος από αυτό το όριο. Ο σκοπός της έρευνας είναι να συγκριθούν δυο διαφορετικές μέθοδοι που αφορούν την εφαρμογή θεραπείας με τη χορήγηση αντί- HIV φαρμάκων: τη συνεχή θεραπεία καθ’όλη τη διάρκεια της λοίμωξης από τον ιό HIV, ή τη διακεκομμένη θεραπεία που περιορίζεται σε χρονικές περιόδους κατά τις οποίες μειώνεται ο αριθμός των κυττάρων CD4.

4. WASTE IDENTIFICATION

The waste materials that will be produced during the project have to be identified by category and type. This involves thinking through every stage of the project and working out in advance what materials will be used.
The site’s waste status will be determined based upon the location of the site and the quantity of waste generated. When required, the site HSE Manager will assist the site in making this determination according to applicable requirements.
The quantity of the waste produced must be estimated, so to make an assumption of the waste quantity that will be able to be reused, recycled or disposed of.
A list of classified waste streams will be created when necessary based on the quantity and characteristics of the waste produced by the construction activity and in accordance with the local regulations. The waste classification list will be maintained in the site quality file and periodically reviewed during the project.

4. ΤΑΥΤΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ ΛΥΜΑΤΩΝ

Τα λύματα που θα παραχθούν κατά τη διάρκεια του έργου πρέπει να ταυτοποιηθούν ανά κατηγορία και είδος. Αυτό συνεπάγεται ότι θα πρέπει να μελετηθεί διεξοδικά κάθε στάδιο του έργου και να υπολογισθούν εκ των προτέρων τα υλικά που θα χρησιμοποιηθούν.
Η κατάσταση λυμάτων του εργοταξίου θα καθορίζεται με βάση την τοποθεσία του εργοταξίου και την ποσότητα λυμάτων που παράγεται. Όποτε απαιτείται, ο υπεύθυνος Υγιεινής, Ασφάλειας και Περιβάλλοντος θα βοηθήσει στο εργοτάξιο ώστε να πραγματοποιείται ο καθορισμός αυτός σύμφωνα με τις ισχύουσες προϋποθέσεις.
Θα πρέπει να εκτιμάται η ποσότητα λυμάτων που παράγεται, έτσι ώστε να υπολογισθεί η ποσότητα λυμάτων που θα μπορεί να επαναχρησιμοποιηθεί, ν' ανακυκλωθεί ή ν' απορριφθεί.
Όπου χρειάζεται, θα δημιουργηθεί ένας κατάλογος που θα περιλαμβάνει τις ταξινομημένες ροές των λυμάτων με βάση την ποσότητα και τα χαρακτηριστικά των λυμάτων που παράγονται από τη δραστηριότητα τυ εργοταξίου και σύμφωνα με την τοπική νομοθεσία. Ο κατάλογος των ταξινομημένων λυμάτων θα φυλάγεται σε φάκελο ποιότητας του εργοταξίου και θα ελέγχεται περιοδικά κατά τη διάρκεια του έργου.

A conscientious, enthusiastic and professional individual with experience in general translation into English and Greek. I studied English Language and Philosophy (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and I also have an MA in General Translation studies (University of Portsmouth).

More specifically, I am specialized in translating contracts, insurance and finance policies, certificates, education, beauty and cosmetic materials, travel and tourism brochures, technical manuals and many more. Moreover, during my MA studies I gained some experience in subtitling. However, I am open in any other translation assignments and career opportunities, which will contribute in improving my translation skills and experience.

I have an excellent command of Greek (native) English (BA and MA) and French studies (C2 DALF).
