Dialekt Translations

We are a team of two professional, freelance translators with more than 15 years of translation practice. Each of us is a native speaker of Polish, a sworn translator appointed by the Polish Minster of Justice and a philologist-linguist. We offer service in any combination between English, French, Spanish and Polish.

We work with CAT tools and our satisfied international clientele includes local and foreign businesses, European Union institutions, courts of law, Notary Public offices as well as large translation service providers and commercial entities.

In the majority of cases the procedure followed with our regular clients includes the following steps:
1. An availability query from the client, preferably containing source files that are supposed to be translated.
2. Our analysis and confirmation of availability. If necessary, the deadline is negotiated.
3. A purchase order from the client. Usually no price negotiations are required, as the prices are already agreed in general terms and conditions of our cooperation.
4. Translation and/or proofreading process using CAT tools. In the course of the translation some queries from us may be addressed to the client. With larger projects, the client is regularly updated about the progress made.
5. After translation the target text is carefully checked.
6. Acceptance of the translation/proofreading by the client. This is the time when the client is welcome to ask questions regarding the translation received.
7. Our invoice.
8. Payment by the client. We accept bank transfers in PLN, EUR and USD (our accounts are in the SEPA system) and PayPal.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Even with small and simple assignments we tend to use a CAT tool (SDL Trados Studio preferably). If the deadline allows, the translation is proofread by the another linguist, as we always strive for working in a tandem to ensure the highest quality attainable.

Once the source text has been translated it is meticulously checked for language correctness (lexis, grammar and punctuation) and technical correctness (tags, layout and graphic elements). For the quality assurance purposes we use both the QA tools integrated within the given CAT tool plus the Xbench which is particularly useful in projects comprising more than one file for ensuring consistency among all the files.

Depending on the client’s wishes we can provide either final bilingual files or a TMX translation memory for future use by the client or by a different language service provider. We can also build a terminology database for the project or the given product/client. All those deliverables are made available to the client on request.
