Bio
I am Dagmar Cook, a freelance interpreter and translator, and I have over 38 years' professional experience in translation and interpretation between Czech-English-Czech. My native tongue is Czech, and I have lived in the UK since 1983. I am fluent in Czech, English, Slovak, and Russian.

Most of my work is involved with the British Criminal Justice System (the Police Service, and HM Courts Service), where complete accuracy is not just desired, but is a fundamental requirement.

I serve the Police and HM Courts Service (Magistrates', Crown, County, Family and Juvenile) throughout West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Lincolnshire, Humberside and Merseyside, throughout my weekly duties. I have also served, on a less-frequent basis, HM Courts in Cumbria, Derbyshire and Co. Durham.

Due to extremely high demand for my professional services, I have to decline around as many assignments as I accept, and could easily be working a 16-hour day, 7-day week if I accepted every assignment offer.

You can read more about me, and those I have worked for HERE

I know of no other interpreter willing to offer a 99%+ accuracy guarantee!

AGENCIES PLEASE NOTE... I DO NOT WORK THROUGH OR FOR LANGUAGE AGENCIES, SO IF YOU ARE A LANGUAGE AGENCY LOOKING FOR A CZECH INTERPRETER, PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME, UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO PAY ME THE NATIONALLY AGREED HOME OFFICE OR METROPOLITAN POLICE RATES (FOR LEGAL WORK) OR MY PROZ.COM PUBLISHED RATES FOR PRIVATE WORK ASSIGNMENTS.
