Source text - Korean 포스코 PI시스템은 ERP 패키지인 오라클 11i 를 중심으로 맥시모(Maximo)와 SCP(supply Chain Planning)등을 연결, 독립적으로 운영되던 업무처리시스템을 하나로 통합, 전사적인 차원에서 작용 경영정보의 실시간 공유가 가능하도록 구현되어 있다. 특히 40여개에 이르는 ERP모듈을 사용하는 만큼 트랜잭션도 엄청 나고 이는 결국 일일 산출 테이터량의 빠른 증가로 이어진다.
따라서 여기에서 관심을 끄는 것은 기업내 핵심 데이터의 보존 및 복구 방안이다. 14TB에 이르는 1일 단위 데이터의 백업과 복구를 어떤 형태로 할 것인가도 국내는 물론 해외에서도 찾기 힘들기 때문이다.
Translation - English The PI system at POSCO uses Oracle 11i as the core ERP solution and has integrated other packages such as Maximo and SCP (Supply Chain Planning) to share and access the corporate resources and information throughout the entire organization in real time. The transaction volume created from some 40 different ERP modules is enormous, adding to a rapid accumulation of data on a daily basis. Therefore, the protection and recovery of the core data of the corporate become critical issues. It is difficult to find a case study on how to protect and restore data that accumulate at the pace of 14TB a day -whether domestically or internationally.
