Source text - English The Japanese Market rose around 3.5% over the quarter, with most of the increase coming in June. Cyclical sectors performed well, particularly those exposed to growth in demand coming from China. In keeping with global trends, bond yields rose fairly sharply in Japan. This led to underperformance in the more interest rate-sensitive areas of the market such as real estate and utilities. Economic data was fairly mixed over the quarter. Although there has been a fairly modest slowdown in industrial production, domestic demand appears to be holding up reasonably well. The latest Tankan report, meanwhile, suggests that perceptions of a shortage of labour and capacity persist. Against this backdrop, the consensus is probably for the BoJ to hike interest rates again by 25bp at its August meeting. In terms of corporate earnings, most companies reported strong results for the year ending March 2007 but conservative estimates for the year to March 2008. We continue to believe that the underlying rate of earnings growth is still running at close to 10%.

Source text - English Things have changed little for many foundries,
who still continue doing things the old-fashioned
way when it comes to cutting and deburring of iron
and steel parts. The problem is that when these
applications are done manually, they often mean that
the quality of the parts is not consistent, and a high
number end up being rejected. What adds to the
problem is the difficulty in finding the specialized
workforce necessary for such a hard and dangerous
environment.
To help solve this problem, the Spanish company
XX s.l. has been developing and manufacturing
deburring cells with YY robots for the past 20 years.
The cells help to minimize these problems by implementing
standard solutions that are customized to
the specific needs of each customer.
The deburring cells are manually fed and they
provide a small buffer for giving some autonomy to
the operator. The robot then takes over, handling the
parts with different tools of the cell. The operations
that can be done are: cutting of peripheral gates, finetuning
of contours and partition lines, elimination of
fillings using special mills and also surface finishing
of different areas with low roughness tolerance.

Le celle contribuiscono a minimizzare i problemi descritti, implementando soluzioni standard che vengono personalizzate in base alle specifiche esigenze dei singoli clienti.
Le celle di sbavatura sono alimentate manualmente e sono dotate di un piccolo magazzino polmone per consentire un minimo grado di autonomia all’operatore. A questo punto entra in azione il robot, che manipola i pezzi con i diversi utensili presenti nella cella. Le operazioni che si possono gestire con questo sistema sono il taglio degli attacchi di colata periferici, la rifinitura dei profili e delle linee di partizione, l’eliminazione dei riempimenti mediante speciali frese e la finitura superficiale di diverse aree con bassa tolleranza alla scabrezza.
