Source text - Polish § 4. Wynagrodzenie i Warunki Płatności
1. Z tytułu wykonania przedmiotu Umowy, Księgarnia zobowiązuje się do zapłaty na rzecz X wynagrodzenia prowizyjnego w wysokości 7,0% wartości sprzedaży netto książek zakupionych przez klientów przy wykorzystaniu Elektronicznego systemu sprzedaży książek. Przedmiotowe wynagrodzenie będzie należne w przypadku złożenia przez klienta zamówienia zakupu książki i zapłaty przez niego ceny sprzedaży.
2. Wynagrodzenie, o którym mowa w niniejszym paragrafie, powiększane będzie każdorazowo o obowiązującą stawkę podatku VAT.
3. Wynagrodzenie, o którym mowa w niniejszym paragrafie, płatne będzie na podstawie miesięcznych zestawień sporządzanych przez Księgarnię i przekazywanych X w terminie do 20 dnia każdego następnego miesiąca. Zestawienia powyższe będą zawierały dane dotyczące: wartości netto książek zakupionych przez klientów przy wykorzystaniu Elektronicznego systemu sprzedaży książek w danym miesiącu.
4. W przypadku, gdy X poweźmie wątpliwości co do prawidłowości danych wskazanych w zestawieniu, o którym mowa w ust. 3, Przedstawiciel X ma prawo wglądu w zamówień Księgarni złożonych przez klientów za jego pośrednictwem (przy wykorzystaniu Elektronicznego systemu sprzedaży książek).
5. Wynagrodzenie, o którym mowa w niniejszym paragrafie, płatne będzie w terminie 7 (siedmiu) dni od dnia przekazania przez Księgarnię spółce X zestawienia i wystawienia faktury VAT. W przypadku nie przekazania przez Księgarnię zestawienia w terminie wskazanym w ust. 4 niniejszego paragrafu, X obliczy wynagrodzenie, o którym mowa w ust. 1, 2 i 3, w oparciu o własne wyliczenia klientów Księgarni.
6. Księgarnia upoważnia X do wystawiania faktur VAT bez podpisu Księgarni.
Translation - English § 4. Remuneration and Payment Conditions
1. In consideration of the performance of the subject matter of the Agreement, the Bookstore shall pay to X a commission in the amount of 7.0% of the net sale value of the books purchased by clients by means of the Electronic book sale system. Said remuneration shall be due in the event of a client placing an order for the purchase of a book and paying the sale price.
2. The remuneration discussed herein shall be increased each time by the current rate of VAT.
3. The remuneration discussed herein shall be payable on the basis of monthly lists prepared by the Bookstore and sent to X by the 20th day of each following month. The aforementioned lists shall contain the data concerning: the net value of the books purchased by clients by means of the Electronic book sale system in a given month.
4. In the event of X having doubts concerning the correctness of the data specified in a list discussed in section 3, a Representative of X shall have a right to view the orders placed at the Bookstore by clients through their agency (by means of the Electronic book sale system).
5. The remuneration discussed herein shall be payable within 7 (seven) days from the day when the list is sent by the Bookstore to the X company and the VAT invoice issued. If the Bookstore fails to send the list within the period specified in section 4 hereof, X shall calculate the remuneration discussed in sections 1, 2 and 3 on the basis of their own calculations concerning Bookstore clients.
6. The Bookstore authorizes X to issue VAT invoices without the Bookstore's signature.

Source text - Polish Nawet pobieżna obserwacja przekazów medialnych we współczesnej Polsce sugeruje, że nielegalna przemoc jest istotnym kontekstem wielu działań jednostkowych i instytucjonalnych: porachunki gangsterskie, fala w wojsku i więzieniach pojawiająca się także w szkołach, chuligańskie burdy na stadionach, przemoc w rodzinie. Osobne zjawisko to obecność przemocy w nieinformacyjnych formach przekazu: filmach, grach komputerowych, Internecie. Można więc uznać, że przemoc jest istotnym składnikiem potocznego doświadczenia społecznego w Polsce. Media przynosząc kolejne doniesienia o brutalnych przestępstwach, czy epatując przemocą kierują jednak, jak się wydaje, uwagę badaczy w niewłaściwą stronę. Przemoc jest bowiem pierwotnym – by nie powiedzieć naturalnym – zakorzenionym biologicznie – sposobem sprawowania kontroli społecznej. Jako taka rodzić się będzie w każdym społeczeństwie, także demokratycznym. Nie w każdym kraju jednak jest skutecznie umieszczana na obrzeżach życia społecznego.
Jeśli przemoc nie jest skutecznie marginalizowana, to należy spodziewać się wielu negatywnych konsekwencji społecznych. Wydaje się, iż najważniejsze z nich to:
• erozja kapitału społecznego rozumianego jako zaufanie między jednostkami;
• atrofia aktywności obywatelskiej (w szczególności tej nastawionej na kontrolę rządzących) i gospodarczej (przede wszystkim tej o zasięgu regionalnym);
• indywidualizacja życia społecznego, prywatyzacja moralności, nasilenie się postaw o charakterze autorytarnym, pogłębienie syndromu bezradności społecznej.
Okoliczności powyższe mogą mieć istotny negatywny wpływ na procesy transformacji ustrojowej; m.in. mogą sprawić, że Polska nie będzie w stanie wykorzystać szans płynących z członkostwa w Unii Europejskiej.
Efektem proponowanego projektu badawczego będzie – ujednolicone konceptualnie – opracowanie monograficzne zawierające ustalenia dotyczące roli przemocy w polskim życiu gospodarczym i politycznym. Prócz tego w toku realizacji projektu planowane jest zorganizowanie konferencji ogólnopolskiej „Miejsce przemocy w polskiej transformacji ustrojowej”, której pokłosiem również ma by publikacja książkowa. Niezależnie od tych sposobów upubliczniania wyników badań, poszczególne etapy projektu zaowocują odrębnymi artykułami w polskich i zagranicznych (np. Journal of Conflict Resolution, Social Forces) czasopismach socjologicznych.
Translation - English Even a cursory observation of media broadcasts in modern Poland reveals that illicit violence is a significant context of many actions taken by individuals and institutions, including: gang warfare; bullying in the army and prisons, which is also present in schools; brawls at stadiums; family violence. The presence of violence in non-informative varieties of multimedia, such as movies, computer games and the Internet is a separate phenomenon. Thus, violence can be considered a significant element of everyday social experience in Poland. However, by reporting on a large number of violent crimes or emanating violence, the media turn researchers’ attention in the wrong direction. After all, violence is a primitive – or perhaps a natural – biologically rooted – means of enforcing social control and, as such, will appear in any, even democratic, society. However, it is not in every country that it is effectively placed on the fringes of social life.
Many negative social consequences can be expected if violence is not marginalized effectively. The following seem to be the most important:
• erosion of social capital, understood as trust between individuals;
• disintegration of civic activity (which particularly refers to observing the government's actions) and economic activity (primarily on a regional scale);
• individualization of social life, privatization of morality, the strengthening of authoritarian attitudes and reinforcement of the syndrome of social helplessness.
The abovementioned circumstances may have a significant negative impact on the processes connected with the political transformation; they may, for instance, render Poland unable to take advantage of the opportunities that come from the membership in the European Union.
The effect of the proposed research project will be a conceptually standardized monograph containing the findings concerning the role of violence in Polish economic and political life. Apart from this, as the work on the project progresses, there are plans to organize a national conference entitled “The Role of Violence in Polish Political Transformation”, the outcome of which is to be a book on the subject. Regardless of the manner in which the findings are published, the individual stages of the project will result in various articles appearing in Polish and foreign (e.g. Journal of Conflict Resolution, Social Forces) sociology magazines.
