With people from countries all around the world, does it have to be all English? Or all USA? What are we coming to? Mind you, I am from the USA, born and bred, but it makes me sad to see people from around the world bow down to USA culture. Do your own cultures have nothing to say? Are they not to be valued? I did like Tina's selection; it is not from her culture and it's something I have never seen or heard before, but it shows real people having a good time. Want to make me smile? Play most kinds of Latin music (yes, some of it is bad, but most of it is great). Or play some music from your own culture, a lot of it is bound to be good, and I'll enjoy it too. After all, the USA is a country without a culture of its own. Celebrate your own, I can virtually guarantee you a much bigger smile. ▲ Collapse

"These boots are made for walking" by Nancy Sinatra "Dont' stop me now" by the Queen "Never can tell" by Chuck Berry "Volare" by Domenico Modugno "Voglio vivere così" - I'm not sure if this is from a play or what, but I have a live version performed by Luciano Pavarotti and Italian singer Elisa which really puts me in a good mood And I don't usually like Christina Aguilera's songs, but I must say "Candyman" is a very funny one!

because I cannot say I am a Culture Club fan at all, but whenever I listen to Karma Kameleon, that puts a smile on my face. Not highly sophisticated, I know, but that tune just puts me in a good mood!

I think it's always funny/interesting to hear famous songs in another language. But I guess the whole world also knows now that we like these "silly" animation movies like Madagascar, LOL! (don't miss any of the Wallace & Gromit series, hilarious, too)

When I went see to Queen: "We will rock you", the entire theatre veered up when the question "Who wants to hear the Bohemian Rhapsody?"was asked and began to sing it. Together with "We will rock you",it's almost the unofficial British national anthem and my favorite song. After that, I went to "The Phantom of the Opera", I like the opening of this piece. "The Wall" performed by Roger Waters after the fall of the Berlin Wall. "Money, Money" by Abba. "One" by U2, Nothing else matters (Metallica). "Loosing my religion" is a good song to teach the conjugation of "to think".
