Vyšetření ženy je náročnější a vyžaduje více času.
K odhalení možných příčin neplodnosti je nezbytná celková zdravotní anamnéza. Dotazy se mohou týkat dřívějších operací, těhotenství, přerušení těhotenství a pánevních či vaginálních infekcí. Důležité jsou také dotazy týkající se průběhu vaší menstruace - kdy jste začala menstruovat, jak často menstruujete, je-li menstruace provázena bolestí, apod.
Celkové vyšetření může být klíčem k odhalení problémů s neplodností. Už z fyzických vyšetření může lékař vyslovit podezření na některé hormonální poruchy. Gynekologickým vyšetřením lze v malé pánvi odhalit ovariální cysty, myomy, následky prodělaných pánevních infekcí či rozsáhlou endometriózu.

An overall examination may be crucial to detect the infertility problems. A doctor can suspect some hormonal disorders even after a physical examination. A gynecological examination of the small pelvis can reveal ovarian cysts, fibroids, consequences of pelvic infections or extensive endometriosis.
