Source text - Bulgarian ЗАКЛЮЧИТЕЛНА ДЕКЛАРАЦИЯ
Присъстващите организации за приятелство на XV Европейска Среща за Солидарност с Куба заявяваме:
Само за 51 години Кубинската Революция постигна високо развитие на човешките ценности, забележими успехи и истинската независимост на Куба от американския империализъм.
Една бедна държава, с малко ресурси, в обстановка на икономическа и финансова блокада и безброй агресии от всякакъв вид от страна на САЩ, успя да задържи тези постижения и да ги сподели с много държави от третия свят. Последният пример е Хаити – с над 1200 кубински лекари, Куба се превърна в страната, дала най-много медицинска помощ на народа на Хаити. Не трябва да забравяме и кубинските сътрудници, чиито брой надхвърля 50 000, работили в 77 държави., 27 000 младежи от третия свят, обучавани безплатно в Куба, 4 700 000 ограмотени хора по кубинския метод „Да, аз мога”, 1 600 000 души, чието зрение е било оперирано безплатно, както и 12-те милиона деца, имунизирани в бедните държави по света, измежду много други примери.
По тези причини, солидарността и подкрепата на Кубинската Революция е акт на справедливост, на защита на човечеството и на борбата за един по-добър свят.
Днес Правителството на Обама продължава да прилага същата политика на агресия спрямо Куба. То ратифицира Закона за търговията с неприятеля, финансира продажници на и извън острова, закриля заклети терористи, като например Посада Каррилес, Орландо Бош и други, финансира медийната агресия срещу Карибския Остров, не позволява на гражданите на САЩ да пътуват до Куба, глобява фирми, които търгуват с Куба, държи в затвора 5 кубински борци-антитерористи, тоест агресивната политиката на предшестващите администрации продължава да е в сила, но с „променено лице”.
Европейският Съюз чрез своето двусмислено и лицемерно поведение, наложи санкции на Куба чрез така наречената Обща европейска позиция, като по този начин отстъпи пред натиска на САЩ и показа слабост и подчинение пред интересите на правителството на САЩ.
На 11 март 2010 година Европейският Парламент осъди Куба за нарушаване на човешките права използвайки като претекст смъртта на един затворник, осъден по гражданско дело от общ характер, но провъзгласен за „дисидент”. ЕП поиска от Куба „промяна”, така както се налага мнение на колония, което представлява акт на намеса.
Европейският Съюз се прави, че не вижда десетките екзекуции, които годишно се изпълняват в САЩ, и сред които има и такива на деца и на хора с душевни разстройства, съзаклятнически мълчи пред геноцида на палестинския народ от страна на Израел, пред анексирането на Сахара от страна на Мароко, пред масовите гробове на колумбийското правителство, пред държавния преврат в Хондурас и убийствата, мълчи пред блокадата и терористичните действия на САЩ срещу Куба.
Този Европейски Съюз се чувства в правото си да предприеме срещу Куба медийна кампания, основана на лъжата, информационното затъмнение и манипулация, както и ежедневното лицемерие в средствата за масова информация, за да заприлича всичко на истина. Тази същата Европа, народите на която плащат последиците на капиталистическата криза, докато в Латинска |Америка АЛБА е хуманна алтернатива.
Затова ние, приятелите на Куба, от тази Среща за солидарност на европейските народи с малкия, но смел Карибски Остров, изправен от 51 години срещу най-голямата световна военна сила, декларираме, че Европейският Съюз няма морална легитимност да осъжда Куба и настояваме за:
1. Вдигане на убийствената блокада на САЩ срещу Куба, която вече 18 пъти е заклеймена от ООН.
2. Призоваваме правителствата на европейските държави към анулиране на Общата позиция на ЕС спрямо Куба и към прекратяване на жестоката клеветническа кампания, както и към преустановяване на медийната агресия и възстановяване на отношенията на основата на взаимното уважение между суверенни нации.
3. Незабавното освобождаване на Петимата кубински борци-антитерористи, излежаващи присъди в затвори в САЩ, както и издаването на отказваните вече 11 години визи на Олга Салануева и Адриана Перес, съпруги на Рене и Херардо, които никога не са ходили на свиждане.
4. САЩ да върне нелегално окупираната територия за военноморска база в Гуантанамо, и закриване на затвора, който въпреки обещанията на Обама, все още е действащ.
5. Прекратяване на финансирането от страна на САЩ на терористи и продажници на и извън Острова.
6. Екстрадирането и осъждането на заклетите терористи, резиденти в САЩ, каквито да Посада Каррилес и Орландо Бош.
Ние подкрепяме Кубинската Революция – един истински пример за достойнство, суверенитет, социална справедливост, устойчиво развитие, интернационална солидарност и нейното правителство като законен представител на кубинския народ. Подкрепяме борбата на народите от Латинска Америка за суверенност, боливарианските процеси на промяна, които създават истинската независимост и АЛБА – справедливия и респектиращ проект за икономически, социален и културен обмен между държавите.

We, the representatives of the Friendship organizations gathered in Sofia for the 15th European Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba
Declare:
Cuba, a poor country, with few resources under economic and financial blockade and in the situation of countless aggressions of any kind from the United States, has reached in just 51 years since the Cuban Revolution a high development of human values, notable successes and true independence of the country. Cuba managed to preserve these achievements and to share them with many third world countries. The latest example is Haiti - with over 1200 Cuban doctors, Cuba has become a country that gave the most care for the people of Haiti. We must not forget the Cuban collaborators, who have worked in 97 countries and whose number exceeds 50,000; we should not forget that 27 000 young people from third world graduated free of charge in Cuba, that 4.7 million people learned to read and write using the Cuban method "Yes I Can", that Cuba provided health care free of charge to 1600000 blind patients whose eyes were handled for free, that 12 million children were immunized in the poorest countries in the world, among many other examples.
For these reasons, solidarity and support of the Cuban Revolution is an act of justice, the protection of humanity and the struggle for a better world.
Today the Obama government continues to pursue the same policy of aggression against Cuba. It ratified the Law on trade with the enemy, finances mercenaries on and outside the island, protects sworn terrorists such as Posada Karriles, Orlando Bosch etc. , finances media aggression against the Caribbean island, does not allow U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba, fines firms trading with Cuba, holds in prison the Five Cuban Heroes who attempted to prevent further terrorist attacks against the Cuban people, i.e. aggressive policy of previous administrations remains in force, it has only changed the face.
European Union through its ambiguous and hypocritical conduct, imposed sanctions on Cuba by the so-called common European position, and thereby yielded to U.S. pressure and showed weakness and subordination to the interests of the U.S. government.
On 11th March, 2010 The European Parliament condemned Cuba for the death of a prisoner convicted in a civil case of a general nature, but proclaimed "dissident". The European Parliament asked Cuba to make "change" thus trying to press its view on the country as if it is a colonial one, what is an act of interference. The European Parliament
pretends that it does not see dozens of executions, which are performed annually in the U.S., and among them those of children and people with mental disorders. The European Union keeps conspiratorial silent about the genocide against the Palestinian people by Israel, about the annexation of the Sahara part of Morocco, about the mass graves in Colombia, about the coup and massacre in Honduras and about the U.S blockade and terrorist actions against. Cuba.
This European Union feels entitled to run a media campaign against the Cuban based on lies, manipulation and false information and on daily hypocrisy in the media thus to look like as if all is true.
Therefore we, the friends of Cuba, gathered for this Meeting of Solidarity of the European nations with the small, but brave Caribbean island, which has faced the world's largest military force more than 50 years, declare that the European Union has no moral legitimacy to condemn Cuba and request:
1. Removal of the deadly U.S blockade against Cuba, which has 18 times been condemned by the UN.
2. Cancellation of the common EU position towards Cuba and the end of the cruel smear campaign. We call on the governments of European countries to stop the media aggression and restore relations based on mutual respect between sovereign nations.
3. Immediate release of the Five Cuban Heroes who attempted to prevent further terrorist attacks against the Cuban people serving sentences in prisons in the U.S. as well as the issue of 11 years refused visas to their wives thus they could visit their husbands.
4. U.S. to return the occupied Cuban territory at Guantanamo which is naval base and an international concentration camp of the United States, and which has not yet been closed despite the promises of Obama.
5. U.S. to stop funding terrorists and mercenaries on and outside the island.
6. Extradition and conviction of sworn terrorists residing in the U.S. - Karriles Posada, Orlando Bosch etc.
We support the Cuban Revolution - a real example of dignity, sovereignty, social justice, sustainable development, international solidarity ; we support its government as the legal representative of the majority of the Cuban people. We support the struggle of the peoples of Latin America for sovereignty, the bolivarian processes of changes that create true independence and ALBA - a fair project for economic, social and cultural exchanges between countries.

Let Olga and Adriana visit their imprisoned husbands
Perhaps you’ve heard of the Cuban 5, political prisoners in the US. They were arrested almost 12 years
ago in Miami and there became the victims of a miscarriage of justice when they were condemned to
multiple life sentences for having infiltrated terrorist organizations that had attacked Cuba.
A world wide campaign to Free the Five has been going on for years. At the same time, a separate
campaign is being carried out demanding that Olga Salanueva and Adriana Pérez, wives of two of the
prisoners, be granted US visas to visit their husbands, who they haven’t seen for over 10 years.
Join our appeal to Michelle Obama!
Many people have already written to the United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and
Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. Olga’s and Adriana’s visa applications are
supported by a significant number of religious, judicial and human rights organizations – from the
world-wide Council of Churches to the United States’ own Council of Christian Churches, Cuba’s
Council of Churches, the Association of American Jurists, Amnesty International, a long list of Nobel
Prize winners (for Literature or the Peace Prize), members of parliaments, bishops, priests, jurists,
authors, human rights activists and intellectuals around the world. They have also been received by
parliaments and governments in many countries that support their struggle, most recently, in February
of this year, by the EU Parliament.
We, women in Sweden, have written a letter to Michelle Obama in which we appeal to her to do what
she can to get visas for Olga Salanueva and Adriana Pérez so they can visit their husbands, while the
campaign to free the men continues at full speed. We attach our letter which we hope you will support.

of the Nobel Prize in Literature. In it she summarizes the long history of injustice and cruel treatment
The Five and their families have had to bear since the arrests in September 1998.

В същото време се осъществява друга кампания, насочена към извоюване правото на получаване на визи за САЩ от Олга Салануева и Адриана Перес, съпруги на двама от затворниците, на които повече от 10 години е отнета възможността да виждат своите съпрузи.
