German to English: Outsourcing in the Shuttering Industry Do Building Contractors still require shuttering know-how today? General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Construction / Civil Engineering
Nachunternehmern.
Translation - English Many building contractors have their concrete shuttering equipment and the associated services outsourced. Thus in the market a demand and a supply developed. Subsequently different enterprises developed, which offer these services
along with those who inquire about these services. The question arises, which shuttering know- how should still be present in a building contracting company today, in order for it to use the available equipment and services economically.
The contribution is concerned particularly with shuttering technique know-how. It is however completely obvious that these circumstances are valid likewise for other sections of the building industry, as e.g. in concrete technology or mechanical engineering.
Additionally there are situations in which shuttering know-how is required, but where those representatives of the shuttering industry, with their knowledge of the subject are not directly
available to the responsible person within the building industry. The negotiations with the owners and the architect and increasingly also the negotiations with the subsidiary enterprises regarding wage requirements have to be undertaken.
