I am an energetic professional seeking to expand my career in the translation industry. I have a passion for languages and I am keen to utilize my language skills in new and challenging ways. I am actively working to obtain Australian translator certification.I have six years' experience in translating for the Royal Australian Air Force and the Australian Government. My role consists of translating foreign language material and producing reports from the information gained, and the use of audio recording and playback software to transcribe and translate foreign language material.I also worked as a dental assistant for seven years. I was as an oral surgery assistant for five years, working in day surgeries and hospitals, giving me ample exposure to medical settings and terminology.I am a fluent English speaker/writer who has lived in Australia for the past 16 years. I was born in Romania and lived between Romania and Hungary until the age of 14. I have maintained my language skills through my family, all of whom, except for my mother, live in Europe. I also spent two years living and studying in Liguria, Italy, from 1999 - 2001. I have continued to maintain my Italian language skills through my Italian step-father and his family, all of whom live in Australia.
