Good evening. I’m George W. Bush,
republican candidate for President of the United States.
I’m Al Gore, democratic candidate for President, currently I’m Vice President.
And I’m governor of our nation’s second largest state,
which is bigger than every other state except one.
Also my father was president.
THE DECADE STARTS WITH A NECK AND NECK U.S. ELECTION.
Guess what my fellow Americans?
You have the decision!
BUSINESS AS USUAL... EVEN... FUNNY BUSINESS...
Now when they asked me to help introduce tonight’s special I felt frankly ‘ambivalent.’
If the kids haven’t gone to sleep get them in the room
because people are going to be talking about this presidential race for a long time to come!
We’ve never had a closer election.
You could literally hear the country as a whole suck a deep breathe in. It’s quite unbelievable,
but it’s happening so we’ll just have to play it out.
We were convinced that initially we were going to lose when they gave Florida to Gore.
It’s Florida for Gore, that’s the biggest thing that’s happened to Gore’s chances so far.
But of course that was a mistake, they had to rescind that.
Bulletin: Florida pulled back into the undecided column.
Then we ended up with a situation where we looked like were going to win.
Fox News now projects George W. Bush is the winner
in Florida and thus it appears is
the winner of the Presidency of the United States.
Governor Bush called my Dad and
asked us to come over to the Governor’s mansion where he was with his family.
That was right around the time that the numbers in Florida started to look funny. There was something going on..
Just an hour or so ago the TV networks called this race for Governor Bush…
It now appears… It now appears that their call was premature.
Bush had a long lead; his lead has been melted faster than ice cream in a microwave.
I am totally amazed!
The race is not yet over. | Translation - Korean 2000년대로 떠나 보죠
