Bio

I'm a simple man living in Korea. Lived most of my youth in Vancouver Langley.

Since I am in Korea currently, whenever I watch some stuff on Netflix, or at the cinemas, what bugs my mind is that most of the subtitles make the movies/dramas into trash. Its so unbearingly horrible that it destroys plot devices, storylines, and even kills all the jokes in it too. Whenever I take my girlfriend out on a movie date or watch some streaming videos with her, I constantly translate jokes, stories, plot devices to her because she wouldn't understand what's going on in the movie because of all the translation mistakes .

My country is driven by a very Confusianist society but it's getting slowly modernized these days but there is still no improvement in the English -> Korean translation system in dramas and movies.

I don't have any experience in captioning things or whatnot but I have a motivation for it since things here are so horrible.
