Ssemambo Allan Marvin is a young professional with an interest in Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer vision, image processing, Software design, data systems, research, IT and computer science. He has reasonable experience with research, machine learning, image analysis, software modeling and simulation, software testing and quality assurance, data entry and IT management with large respectable national and international organizations. Marvin Ssemambo is fluent in English and Luganda. Allan Marvin has conducted research leading to the award of MSc in Computer Science. This research is about Natural Language processing under a specific topic of “Computational Model for Luganda Text Recognition and Translation from Signs Images”. I have been responsible for gathering, analysing and using data collected from Buganda tourist centres to train an image recognition and Luganda-English text translation algorithm. This project heavily utilizes current tools like tensorflow, OpenCV and Scikit-learn to build these models while utilizing the python programming stack. This work is of significant importance because it utilizes current techniques to solve a common social problem of language and communication barrier |
