My experience as a technical interpreter during test periods and technical staff training on industrial machines, in particular printing and packaging industries, allowed me to work directly on such machines, thus acquiring an in-depth knowledge of their functioning as well as to expand my knowledge on mechanics, electronics and software UIs among others.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2000, anyway from January 2005 to October 2008 I also worked as an in-house translator, proofreader and project manager both in Germany and Spain, which helped me to have a clearer view of translation agencies' and final clients' quality requirements, and to apply those standards to my work as a freelance translator.
