English to Czech: Agreement/Smlouva
Source text - English ABC undertakes to deliver and hand over to the Authority the Work in compliance with Article 3.1 hereof in two parts. Firstly, ABC will carry out the Advance Work within 5 (five) months after signing the Contract. Secondly, after finishing the Advance Work, ABC within 5 (five) months will accomplish the Implementation Work on the construction site which start as of the date of taking delivery of the site free from obstacles, and this delivery will be in virtue of mutual protocol, signed by the two Parties and executed in duplicate, one copy is to be handed to each Party, and affixing their signatures will be deemed as declaration that the site is free from obstacles and that it is ready for implementing the project. If the representative of ABC fails to appear on the date fixed for taking delivery of the site from the Authority, the protocol to this effect will be reduced to writing and that date will deemed as the date of starting of performance of this Contract.
Translation - Czech ABC se zavazuje Dílo dodat a předat Úřadu v souladu s článkem 3.1 této Smlouvy ve dvou částech. Za prvé ABC realizuje Dílčí plnění, a to do 5 (slovy: pěti) měsíců ode dne podpisu Smlouvy. Za druhé, do 5 (slovy: pěti) měsíců po ukončení Dílčího plnění ABC uskuteční Implementační práce na staveništi, které zahájí poté, co převezme staveniště ve stavu prostém vad. Implementační práce budou probíhat na základě vzájemně schváleného protokolu, podepsaného oběma Smluvními stranami a vydaného ve dvou vyhotoveních, přičemž každá ze Smluvních stran obdrží jedno vyhotovení. Podpis protokolu Smluvními stranami se považuje za prohlášení, že staveniště bylo předáno ve stavu prostém vad a je připraveno k implementaci projektu. Pokud se zástupce ABC nedostaví k převzetí staveniště od Úřadu v dohodnutém termínu, bude protokol vydán pouze jako jednostranný písemný dokument a datum na protokolu bude považováno za datum zahájení plnění této Smlouvy.

Source text - Czech Z antických pramenů jsme informováni o pivu na evropském území mimo římské impérium prvně u Keltů. Latinský název piva (cerevisia) představuje pozdní složeninu z latinského označení obilí a keltského výrazu pro „vodu“. Podle záznamů římského historika Tacita, který psal o pivu rozšířeném v Germánii, můžeme soudit, že výroba i konzumace piva zde byla, obdobně jako v jiných kulturách, silně ritualizována, vynález nápoje byl připisován bohu Ódinovi. Kvašené pivo vyráběli i Slované, z archeologických výzkumů známe zásobní jámy, ve kterých se přechovávalo obilí a rovněž jednoduché sušárny na obilí. Výraz ”pivo” byl znám u všech slovanských kmenů. Nejstarší písemná zpráva o pivu u Slovanů je z roku 448 n.l. Pivem tehdy uctili uherští Slované císařské posly z Byzance. Vrcholu obliby dosáhlo pivo u jednotlivých evropských kmenů ve středověku, kdy jeho výroba spotřebovávala až třicet procent veškeré tehdejší produkce obilí.
Translation - English Ancient sources suggest that the first people outside the Roman Empire to master beer brewing were the Celts. Beer's Latin name "cerevisia" is a compound, comprising the Latin word for grain and the Celtic name for water. The Roman historian Tacitus refers to beer as a drink enjoyed throughout Germania. He also suggests that the Celts, as did other civilisations, made and drank their beer in a highly ritualised manner. They credited the Celtic God Odin with the discovery of beer. The Slavs produced fermented beer, too. Archaeological research has revealed grain storage pits, and simple grain drying kilns. All Slavonic nations use the word "pivo" (beer). The oldest written reference to the existence of beer in a territory occupied by Slavs dates back to 448 A.D. when the Hungarian Slavs poured it for messengers from the Byzantine Emperor. Beer reached the height of its popularity among the European peoples in the Middle Ages. As much as one third of all grain then grown was used to produce beer.

Source text - Czech Jestliže akcionář hodlá uplatnit na valné hromadě protinávrhy k návrhům, jejichž obsah je uveden v pozvánce, nebo v případě, že o rozhodnutí valné hromady musí být pořízen notářský zápis, je akcionář povinen doručit písemné znění svého návrhu nebo protinávrhu společnosti nejméně 5 (slovy: pět) pracovních dnů přede dnem konání vainé hromady. To neplatí, jde-li o návrhy na volbu konkrétních osob do orgánů společnosti. Představenstvo je povinno uveřejnit jeho protinávrh se svým stanoviskem, pokud je to možné, nejméně 3 (slovy: tři) dny před oznámeným datem konání vainé hromady. Povinnost uveřejnění protinávrhu představenstvo splní tak, že protinávrh se svým stanoviskem uveřejní v této třídenní lhůtě na informační desce v sídle společnosti a v den konání valné hromady i na místě konán! valné hromady.
Translation - English If a shareholder intends to file at a General Meeting a counter-proposal with regad to any proposal stated in the invitation or in the event that a General Meeting’s decision must be issued in the form of a notarial record, the shareholder must deliver its proposal or counter-propolsal to the company no later than five business days prior to the date of the General Meeting. This does not apply if the proposal relates to specific nominees to be elected to the corporate bodies. If possible, the Board of Directors must publish a shareholder’s counter-proposal jointly with the Board of Director’s opinion no later than three days before the date of the General Meeting. The Board of Directors will discharge this obligation by displaying the counter-proposal including the Board of Director’s statement for the three days´term on a notice board located in the registered office of the company, and by displaying it at the venue of the General Meeting on the day the General Meeting is held

Hi,
I´ve been in the translation business for twenty years already. Previously I did translations as a part-time job or as an employee. My core specialisation are legal translations of all types, including official certified translations (I was appointed a court translator in 2007). I also do consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. In addition, I do translations in other fields such as business management, accounting, finance, coporate policies, presentations, etc. One of my previous employers was a multinational beer producer where I worked for seven years, so I can also do specialised beer industry translations.
