I should be there Mar 6, 2012

I'm free and should be there, looking forward to it, not been to any translator meetups before so hopefully there'll be a good turnout and it will be a nice afternoon.

Goodge Street Mar 6, 2012

I believe (if I have read the TFL website correctly) that Goodge Street station is now open and no closures are currently scheduled for the 7th.

Hi Russell,
Do you have a link you can share this information with everyone? I didn't see the information on the website.
Thanks,
Alp

Using the link to the Journey Planner on the home page (for my purposes from Kings Cross on 7 April at 2.30 pm), the result is:

Hope that helps.

Russell

Sorry, the second link is not permanent. It showed Northern line services stopping at Goodge Street on 7 April though.

Just to point out that Warren Street station (Northern + Victoria lines) is only slightly further away than Goodge Street (5-7 min walk), and that both Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central, Victoria lines) and Great Portland Street (Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City, Circle lines) are no more than a ten-minute walk, let alone the many buses along Marylebone Road and Tottenham Court Road, so plenty of choice!

Time to confirm attendance? Apr 3, 2012

Although 62 fellow translators have registered for this Powwow, I see that only 7 (or 8 now with me) have actually confirmed that they are planning to attend.
I am sure that Alp, as organiser, would appreciate greater certainty as regards numbers.
I can't remember precisely but I am not sure that Browniz (for membership discounts etc.) can be awarded to those who haven't given prior confirmation of attendance.

Confirming attendance Apr 3, 2012

Yes, if you can confirm your attendance that would be appreciated. I will send a reminder before the powwow.
I am in the U.K now, getting over jet lag
