What on earth is an "armoire non visitable" à multicases?
Some sort of locker... This is a catalogue for locker equipment. No photo, no other description.

I have no photo or other info to verify the "rear" access theory. I think there may be a large "collective" frame containing all individual compartment doors, openable with a master key, as in set of post boxes. I'll keep searching for the mo' - thanks for the useful suggestions though!

Have been trying - unsuccessfully - to pin down something like "rear access lockers" as might be required in stations etc. so the authorities can check contents (for bombs, etc.) quickly (one lock) and discreetly ...

...often by way of a single, large, rear door covering all the p/hs. So presumably "non-visitable" means it DOESN'T have this facility

I think when it is "visitable", it means that each holder of a pigeon-home can access their own pigeon-hole (e.g. to collect mail), but only an authorized person has access to ALL the p/hs (to distribute mail) — like PO boxes in a Post Office

"visite" can mean "inspection", so ...
BUT it can also imply break-in.... mon armoire a été visitée cette nuit.....

Je suppose que votre "armoire" est une armoire électrique ou QQC du meme genre ====> Visitable : on peut l'ouvrir pour effectuer des opérations de maintenance etc.. Inspectable cabinet (housing) ?

I'm not entirely sure about calling them "centrally locking" but it does appear as if that is a description of what it does. Looking at the products available on one site for "visitable" gives a school locker that lets the lockers be centrally opened all at once. There is the individual key as well. Perhaps "double keyed" or "double locking" would work as well (with "single keyed" and "single locking")
