Yes, fellas, I used "art song", interspersed with "vocal chamber music" wherever repetition was to be avoided. It's a competition for singer-pianist duos who will perform poems set to music.

so these are not folk songs, but art songs.

I found it translated in a couple of places as "art song", and it's often left in Italian. It partly depends on the wider context, who this text is intended for (experts or the public?) and whether the term is explained elsewhere in the document.
