In this way, physical compromising is common in other cardiovascular illnesses, however, by compensating the clinical status (medication optimization, clinical controls, physiotherapy, and psychological follow up), the patient feels disposed and active again, but in the initial assessment of the patient with refractory cardiac insufficiency, this condition is not present.

clinical checkup or clinical follow up
controle carries the meaning not only of its EN cognate but also the idea of checking on something, verifying, testing, monitoring, etc.
Like FR contrôle, ES control, DE Kontrolle, etc, wihch all have these same meanings.

The expression is ambiguous out of context, because the word controle can also mean control, of course.

The clues here are 'dosagem,' which means quantitative analysis here, and also the words cada quinze dias, etc, wihch indicates that this was a procedure that was conducted at regular intervals. That could only be some kind of testing. In fact, excuse me, testing is better than checkup in this context. A checkup would normally be taking BP measurements, weighing the patient, etc.
