English term

Holding farm

English to Portuguese Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals Vaccine production
This term came up in a section on the responsibilities of each department during testing. The sentence is "The animal house/holding farm is responsible for the collection and organization of samples for QC".

I've seen "animal house" as "biotério" but I've never seen the term "holding farm"

Viveiro

É sinônimo de biotério.

A vivarium (Latin, literally for "place of life"; plural: vivaria or vivariums) is an area, usually enclosed, for keeping and raising animals or plants for observation or research. Often, a portion of the ecosystem for a particular species is simulated on a smaller scale, with controls for environmental conditions.
