David Lin Jul 14, 2016:
Agree The Taiwan Post Office website as given by Shirley has all the details about the English version of their address system. 'No.' Is preferred over 'Unit' here.
Shirley Lao Jul 14, 2016:
In fact, you can search for this English address through Taiwan's Post Office at http://www.post.gov.tw/post/internet/Postal/index.jsp?ID=207...

Taiwan's address is divided into 巷, 弄 and 號. "1之2號" here should refer to "No. 1-2" instead of "unit".

Unit 1-2

I typically translate the 之 using a hyphen, with the understanding that it is a unit of sorts (a shorthand for "No.2, Unit 1" or "Unit 1, No.2). I don't think you'd be off the mark with "No.1-2" either.
