Spanish term
sección de materias y sección de lectura
Spanish to English
Art/Literary
Poetry & Literature
He pensado en "it has a subsection with subject books and another one with reading books" aunque me suena un poco raro.
¿Alguien que sugiera algo mejor?
Gracias por adelantado
Saludos

: I would use this as the 'Reference' section would likely include non-fiction books for consultaion, not for loan.

fiction and non-fiction books/sections
That is how it would be in the UK:
" Home»School Info»Library»Non-Fiction
Non-Fiction
Non-fiction books are FACT books. We read them for information. For example books on animals, cars, fashion, sports and different religions would all be found in the non-fiction section of the Library. The Library has almost 5500 non-fiction books.
Non-fiction books on the library shelves
Non-fiction books are arranged on the shelves by subject. To keep books on the same subject together, we use the Dewey Decimal Classification Sysytem. This system was first introduced to libraries in the nineteenth century and is constantly updated to take account of new information. Many libraries use this method of organising non-fiction books. Using a numbering system it enables libraries to keep books on the same or similar subjects together. The Dewey Decimal Classification divides all knowledge in to ten main categories. These are
000 General works (including encyclopaedias)

"All libraries have a children's area with picture books, children's fiction and non-fiction books to help children learn. All libraries also have a teenage collection with a variety of novels that appeal to young people."

The reference definition does not apply here as, by definition, it deals with material that is used for consulting :magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other library other reference material.
Study Rooms are available on a first come-first serve basis on the Second Floor for quiet study and discussion.
The Library has a wide variety of open areas for reading or study on both floors.
