I´m not sure what vendedores refers to in this context.
Maybe marketers or content creators?

@Alexandra Not necessarily. My main client uses "área" instead of "departamento", and so do many other companies in Spain. Nowadays, companies trying to sound cutting-edge and up-to-date sometimes use newfangled terminology because it makes them sound more "slick". Another option in this case could be, for example, "creatives" although that could also be "creativos" in Spanish.

I think they're marketers with the intent on selling as they seek ways of generating more sales. They work in a department to create content media which could help attract more business.

@Alexandra You may be right, you have the whole context and are in a better position to judge, but I have never seen in my life the word "vendedores" being used as a synonym for "departamentos de ventas".

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. It´s a real head-scratcher but I do think it refers to the sales department within a company. I think it´s the one that best fits the whole text.

Vendors or sellers It is the only option I can come up with. But careful! Vendors and sellers are not exactly the same. And in this particular case I tend to think, just intuitively, that "sellers" are meant, rather than "vendors".

sales departments

Although it does mean sellers/vendors, and the latter is increasingly used in IT and related areas (especially in US English) I'm not keen on it myself, as I associate it with street vendors selling things like peanuts.
It just means whoever is selling, which in companies would usually be the sales department/managers/technicians/representatives...
