Czech term
Pravolevá orientace zvládnutá pouze v rovině
Czech to English
Social Sciences
Education / Pedagogy
Special Education
This is from a Czech report on child who has special education needs, in the examination section:
"Pravolevá orientace zvládnutá pouze v rovině, obtíže motorické a koordinační."
I don't quite understand how to translate the above into English. Right left orientation is pretty clear, but I can't picture what the last part means.
Appreciate ideas on how to translate this phrase into English.
Thanks,
Stephen

As opposed to in space. The need for this distinction comes from the fact that these skills are usually learned with the help of 2-dimensional images laid out on the table. To transfer the skill into the "real world" of 3-dimensional surroundings is a significant qualitative leap, therefore the distinction.
