The tables presented define an air mass 1,5 solar spectral irradiance for the direct normal radiation - 5,8° field-of-view angle - and hemispherical radiation on an equator-facing, 37° tilted plane for an albedo of 0,2. These tables are intended to represent ideal clear sky conditions.
La potenza in uscita da un impianto fotovoltaico in condizioni standard si chiama “potenza di picco” (Wp): esprime la potenza elettrica erogata da un generatore fotovoltaico con un irraggiamento di 1.000 watt per metro quadro, temperatura dei moduli di 25 gradi centigradi e una massa d’aria pari a 1,5 AM.

Poiché la potenza di una cella fotovoltaica varia al variare della sua temperatura e della radiazione, per poter fare dei confronti sono state
definite delle condizioni standard di riferimento, che originano il cosiddetto watt di picco (Wp), relativo alla potenza fornita dalla cella alla
temperatura di 25°C sotto una radiazione di 1.000 W/mq e in condizioni di AM1,5.
