Word Xp interfering with Word 2000

I work with a British agency that sends me Word 2000 documents and requires me to send them the translated job as Word 2000 documents. As I wanted to have Word XP at the same time, I installed it as well. Yesterday I faced a strange problem, I had overlooked some graphics and texts within text boxes, and the proofreader informed me of my mistake. As I wanted to have Word XP at the same time, I installed it as well. Yesterday I faced a strange problem, I had overlooked some graphics and texts within text boxes, and the proofreader informed me of my mistake. I checked the original files and found out that I could not see any text boxes or embedded texts and graphics when I open their word document with my Word 2000, but I could see them when I open them with my Word XP! That was why I made a grave mistake and overlooked several boxes.

I wonder what might have caused this problem. I send this message to inform other colleagues, and get help or any clues to the problem.
