neutral  Kcda: IMO within the context it is neither "exchange" or "against". It is an increase of capital due to cash contributions rather than a process of exchanging. Exchange and against are interchangeable and are commonly used in financial terminology.

agree  RobinB: I certainly prefer "against" vs. "in exchange for". And "cash capital increase" is also perfectly OK, especially in non-legal documents.

Though "against" is very commonly used in the financial terminology, my understanding is that "it is based on the cash contribution". I am not very sure and hence the low confidence level.

agree  Kcda: "due" to as in "because" is what spontaneously came to my mind but based on is even better here! The jargon exchange or against are at this instance not reflecting correctly how the capital increase was brought by.
